In this lecture, Christian Schmid will both lay out the founding theoretical ideas around Extended Urbanisation—an important concept in urban research first articulated together with Neil Brenner in 2011 that opens up radical new understandings of urbanisation processes–and give insights into his most recent discoveries in the field.
